Belonging
Rohingya Documents is an open archive of the papers that show who the Rohingya are and where they come from: identity cards, land records, household lists and official letters issued in Arakan over generations.
Many of these documents survived fires, flight and years in refugee camps. Photographed by 30 Rohingya photographers and shared with their community, they are preserved here so that families, researchers, journalists and courts can find, read and cite them.
Today the archive holds 365 documents in 10 categories. It is free to use and keeps growing.
