Documents of a Lost Homeland: The Rohingya Story Faded land records, identity cards, travel documents, and family photographs preserve fragments of Rohingya life in Myanmar. Each document offers a glimpse into family histories, ancestral roots, and a homeland left behind. Forced to flee, Rohingya families carried these fragile records across borders—physical evidence of lives lived, homes lost, and identities that endure despite displacement. These documents are more than memories. They are witnesses to a history that must not be forgotten. We are Rohingya. Our roots remain, our identity endures, and our story continues.
